The name No Coast Choppers and Trikes was chosen for this company because we are a chopper and trike shop. We are located in sunny southern Oklahoma where we have creek banks, river banks, pond banks, and lake shores but no coasts. We therefore feel it is our duty to be No Coast Choppers and Trikes !!!
No Coast Coppers and Trikes is a company created by the growth and expansion of Longhorn Scooters, Inc. Longhorn Scooters was established in 1996 as an outgrowth of a hobby enjoyed by founder Larry Edmonds since his youth. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Larry has owned, operated, and maintained motorcycles of many styles and varieties for over 30 years. With the explosive growth of the motorcycle industry in the late 80s and early 90s Larry's home hobby shop became a very popular place. After several years of basically working two jobs the decision was made to make the motorcycle shop a full blown business. Larry retired from his maintenance tech position with Michelin North America and Longhorn Scooters was born.
Prior to Longhorn Scooters existence, enthusiasts in south central Oklahoma had to journey almost 100 miles in any direction to find a Harley-Davidson dealership or full service Harley specific motorcycle shop. Although Longhorn Scooters / No Coast Choppers and Trikes is not a Harley-Davidson dealership they are the areas largest and oldest Harley specific full service motorcycle shop. No Coast Choppers and Trikes can perform any job your Harley or Harley style bike will ever require from simple oil and filter changes to complete crankcase up engine overhauls and performance work. We can also provide and install on your bike virtually any accessory available in today's market.
A few years back a very good friend asked us to build him a Harley trike. After in-depth research of many trike conversion companies the decision was made to become a Lehman trike dealer. The steps required to accomplish this were taken and in September 2000 Longhorn Scooters completed their first in house motorcycle to trike conversion. Since that day dozens of conversions have rolled out the doors.
No Coast Choppers and Trikes plan to continue converting existing O.E.M. motorcycles into world class Lehman trikes. We are also now building trikes from the ground up by assembling the host motorcycles in house and installing Lehman kits on them. Some of the advantages of building trikes in this way include : engine choices featuring more horsepower for impressive three wheeled performance, paint schemes and graphics limited only by your imagination, engines and drive train warranties that are NOT voided by the installation of the trike kit, and the saving of several thousand dollars over the cost of converting a comparable O.E.M. motorcycle.
